Save the setup file from the latest release.
Run it
Click Yes when Windows asks for permission. Brightfix needs it to make repairs.
Open Brightfix
A short welcome explains the preview, restore points and undo.

If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”
Microsoft SmartScreen shows this for programs it has not seen many times yet, even when they are signed. It goes away as more people install Brightfix.
- Click More info.
- Check that the publisher says Speedforce Industries LLC.
- If it does, click Run anyway. If it says Unknown publisher, do not run it: download again from this site.
Check the file yourself
- Right-click the setup file, choose Properties, then the Digital Signatures tab. The signer should be Speedforce Industries LLC.
- For extra certainty, run Get-FileHash .\Brightfix-Setup-*.exe in PowerShell and compare it with the SHA-256 for this version: EB26181C7F5FF839D33850EC43CA064895630B51D4D0655594C9B802932D3C31.
Only download Brightfix from getbrightfix.com. Brightfix is never sent by email or offered by phone.
Coming from GS Toolkit 0.1 or 0.2?
Those early versions cannot update themselves to Brightfix. Download the setup file and run it once. It keeps your settings and history, and updates are automatic from then on.
Will it be in the Microsoft Store?
Yes, that is planned, along with winget. The download here is the same signed app.
How do updates work?
Brightfix checks for a new version and asks before installing. Each update is checked for the Speedforce signature and a matching checksum before it runs.
How do I uninstall?
Settings, Apps, Installed apps, Brightfix, Uninstall. Restore points it made stay in Windows until Windows clears them.
