Browser Caches
Clears cached web pages and images. Your passwords, bookmarks, history and sign ins are not touched.
When to use it
- A website looks broken or out of date.
- Your drive is getting full.
How to use it
- Open Brightfix and go to Free up space.
- Choose Browser Caches. Brightfix checks first and changes nothing yet.
- Read the list. Each item says what it is and what will happen.
- Tick what you want, then choose the button to go ahead.
What it changes
Deletes the cache folders of your browsers.
What it never does
- Never removes passwords, bookmarks, history, cookies or sign ins.
Undo
Browsers rebuild their cache as you browse. A restore point is made first.
Advanced details
- Only the cache folders inside each browser profile are cleared.
Every action is logged with the time, the command, the result and the exit code.
