What's Taking Up Space
Shows which folders on a drive are the biggest, so you can decide what to move or delete yourself. It only looks.
When to use it
- Your drive is full and the cleanups did not explain why.
How to use it
- Open Brightfix and go to Free up space.
- Choose What's Taking Up Space and pick a drive.
- Open the biggest folders to see what is inside.
- Move or delete your own files yourself, in File Explorer.
What it changes
Nothing.
What it never does
- Never deletes anything. Your files are yours to decide about.
Undo
Nothing to undo.
Advanced details
- Reads folder listings and sizes, plus Win32_ShadowStorage and Win32_Volume to show space held by restore points.
Every action is logged with the time, the command, the result and the exit code.
