Privacy Settings
Turns off the suggestions, tips and personalised ads Windows shows you. Nothing here affects how well the computer works.
When to use it
- You want fewer ads and suggestions in Windows.
How to use it
- Open Brightfix and go to Protect.
- Choose Privacy Settings. Brightfix checks first and changes nothing yet.
- Read the list. Each item says what it is and what will happen.
- Tick what you want, then choose the button to go ahead.
What it changes
Switches off the Windows settings you tick.
What it never does
- Never turns off Windows Update, Defender or other protection.
Undo
Every change can be undone from History and undo.
Advanced details
- Each setting is a documented Windows setting for your account. The registry key is backed up before each change.
Every action is logged with the time, the command, the result and the exit code.
